SIMPLE THINGS
Have you ever thought it funny?
If upon your way
You stop the old clock in the hall
To ask the time of day
And have you ever wondered?
When the clouds up in the sky
Bump into each other
If that is why they cry.
And have you ever laughed?
When someone says in talk
‘It is such a lovely day,
Let us take a walk.’
For how on earth would you take it?
Would you carry it in your hands?
Perhaps we’d better leave it
Until we understand.
But wait, is it so really hard?
To understand these things
Come, on a journey to explain
We fly on simple wings.
