THE DISUSED RAILWAY STATION
Where are they now,
The people who frequented this spot
Who waited to depart north or south?
Where are the emotions
Of those who were here once?
Have they melted into the air?
We imagine so, as we look on a warm day.
But we look too for those that were here and the sounds that they made.
And all that we see and all that we hear is that that they heard and saw.
The birds, the rustling branches, the insects in the grass, the sheep quietly grazing.
Now all that remains is that which was always here.
The birds, trees, insects, and we sheep quietly grazing.
